The average lifespan of architecture cast in concrete is no more than 40 years. In a series of overwhelming nature footage, documentary filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky portrays the life cycle of stones, which begins in nature and ends in the garbage dump. While modern buildings collapse in wars and natural disasters, ancient ruins remind us of a stability that seems lost.
