Spring 2020: depending on your perspective, either the coronavirus itself or the measures taken to combat it have the sleepy town of Eddington firmly in their grip. About twenty years ago, Germany got to know Bernd Stromberg and his team  at CAPITOL Insurance. Back then, there was nothing vegan in the cafeteria and bullying was commonplace in the office. Since then, the world of work has changed enormously. Has Bernd Stromberg changed too? A reunion of the old gang in front of the cameras should provide some clarity. And just like at a classic family reunion, there is a wild mix of nostalgia and alcohol, old scores and new accusations.

Berlin video store owner Micha Hartung (Charly Hübner) is on the verge of bankruptcy. But out of nowhere, he unwittingly becomes a hero to all of Germany: when a journalist stylises him as the mastermind behind the largest mass escape from the GDR on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, his life is suddenly turned upside down. As an unwitting impostor, Micha becomes entangled in a web of half-truths and outright lies.
