The Turkish Film Days and the QFFM - Queer Film Festival Munich present on 01.02. the gripping political thriller Burning Days: Emre, a young and committed public prosecutor, is newly appointed to a small town that is heavily affected by a water crisis and political scandals. The town of Balkaya initially welcomes the young gay man warmly, but suddenly events spiral out of control. Emre investigates his first case and is involuntarily drawn into the political power struggles of the city. The web of intrigue, turmoil and corruption becomes more and more tangled and soon threatens to swallow Emre whole as he befriends journalist Murat, who in turn is on a hot and dangerous trail.

On the occasion of the International Short Film Day, the Munich Queer Film Festival presents a selection of short films. At this year's Queer Mixtape, the QFFM is showing eight Iranian short films. Whether fast cuts or a slow narrative, clear images or playing with symbols. The short films unite a (queer) feminist perspective that moves in the field of tension between oppression and empowerment. After the programme there will be mulled wine and tea.
