The unsuccessful young author Sam flees with her brother to the family vacation home on Lanzarote to finish writing her novel. But her father, a former successful author, has also taken up residence there. With a special supporting film by Emil Klattenhoff about a father-son (non-)relationship that is rarely seen in German cinema. A pulling and tugging, a negotiation about love played out with a lot of distance and little closeness. Their story is told at Munich Central Station: A major construction site, comings and goings, delays and traffic jams. Filmed on 16mm.

This politically reflective cinema documentary tells the story of one of the most influential personalities in the former Bonn Republic. 

The screening will be followed by a film discussion with the director Doris Metz, Lukas Beckmann (former parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen and companion of Petra Kelly) and Amrei Knüsel (Fridays for Future Munich). After Rosa Luxemburg and Hanna Arendt, Margarete von Trotta once again dedicates herself to a female light figure of the 20th century: unchanged, the Austrian poet Ingeborg Bachmann is considered one of the most important female lyricists. Based on her own screenplay, Trotta traces the toxic relationship between Ingeborg Bachmann and the Swiss literary figure Max Frisch in a film that is as elegant as it is stirring, made at great effort in six countries. The film celebrated its world premiere in competition at this year's 73rd Berlin International Festival.
