True crime, great literature. CAPOTE follows the famous author Truman Capote as he researches his novel "In Cold Blood", which would go on to establish the true-crime genre and was adapted into the 1967 film IN COLD BLOOD by Richard Brooks in somber black-and-white. Both films explore how far an author can go for the sake of his story, and what it is about crime that fascinates us so much. Two films, one case, two perspectives on the truth.
