Everything seems perfect in Waad al-Kateab's life. She falls in love, gets married, and gives birth to her first child. But at the same time, brutal fighting breaks out in Aleppo. She feels torn between fleeing to protect her daughter from violence and destruction, or staying in her homeland to strive for freedom. She cannot weigh up which is the greater sacrifice. She captures the events on the ground with a camera.
