The arrival of Zafari the hippopotamus at Caracas Zoo throws the life of a middle-class residential complex into turmoil. First, the zookeepers demand the right to use the swimming pool. Then food and water become scarce. Soon, all moral values crumble. Zafari is well cared for, but the people around the hippopotamus are slowly turning into animals themselves.
