A perfect family life in 1950s France: bank clerk Michel and housewife Hélène live in a perfect patriarchal world. Until a broken washing machine sends them hurtling into the year 2025. The roles are reversed: Hélène becomes a career woman, Michel despairs as a househusband in a smart home. Emancipation, technology and new values overwhelm him.
