On November 9, 1989, the GDR's first gay film, "Coming Out," celebrated its world premiere at East-Berlin's Kino International. Shortly after the curtain fell, the Berlin Wall did as well.

We pay tribute to this story of the venue with our film series Mongay, which takes place every Monday evening – and has been for over 25 years. The City Kinos in Munich have also joined us. And during renovations, the International is represented by other cinemas.

The title of the series, in the mood, is inspired by Wong Kar-Wais defining masterpiece. We present modern film classics of the last decades and fresh festival films as previews.
