In autumn 1943, Rosa Sauer flees from Berlin to East Prussia, where she ends up near Hitler's headquarters "Wolffschanze" and is promptly forcibly recruited by the SS along with other women. They are to taste the Führer's food in advance in order to rule out possible poison attacks. The situation becomes increasingly unbearable for the women - especially after the Stauffenberg assassination attempt - until resistance begins to mount.
