The Million Dollar Hotel is located in the centre of downtown Los Angeles. It is home and refuge for weird characters and outsiders who do not share in the American Dream. One of them is Tom Tom, who has lost his heart to the streetwalker Eloise. But before he can show his affection, the Million Dollar Hotel becomes the scene of a mysterious crime. When the uncompromising FBI agent Skinner shows up at the hotel to relentlessly solve the case, all the hotel residents become murder suspects.
