Vietnam 2001: Young miners Viet and Nam love each other. Together they toil a thousand meters underground, where darkness reigns and danger lurks. The two set off together in search of Nam's father, who went missing in the war, and cross the country from north to south. But Nam actually wants to start a new life abroad. When he decides to leave Vietnam inside a shipping container, something threatens to break between the lovers.
